Well time to leave tomorrow. We have really enjoyed our week here at Lake Gaston. It is our first time—our friends just moved from Williamsburg, VA to the Raleigh-Durham area & we already miss them terribly. This location is half way between our home & their new home, so it makes a great meeting place. The house is so well equipped! We have rented quite a few vacation homes before—never have they had all the amenities you have here. In fact, the next time we come back, our load will be much lighter! Thank you for the rental of your lovely home. My husband and I, along with our four children, traveled from eastern Maryland and met his parents (from Uniontown, PA) here for the week. We enjoyed hours of fishing (last count at 40!!) and swimming off the dock. We held a �fishing� tournament and our 6 year old caught a 16.2 oz. carp! Wow! The [great blue] heron visited one morning. The girls started two lap quilts and many hours of enjoyment were had! We look forward to returning in the future.

Our first trip to Lake Gaston! It's a good mid-way point--we came south from New Jersey. My in-laws came north from Wilmington, North Carolina. Lots of room. My husband and I loved starting our morning with coffee on the top deck and ending the evening stargazing from the same spot. We had great ping-pong matches and loved cooling off in the lake. We all agree Lake Gaston is a "do" again. The game closet has a great selection of jigsaw puzzles.    New Jersey and North Carolina

Our first trip to Lake Gaston was a huge success. Thanks to your awesome home! We wanted to go somewhere quiet where we didn't have to leave everyday looking for entertainment...this was it! Fishing everyday, serious games of ping pong and horseshoes and a pontoon boat rental for a few days (my little ones fav[orite].) I enjoyed starting my days on the porch swing with my coffee. And my little ones (ages 2, 2 and 4) got their first baseball mits from their daddy--my twin boys were thrilled! The fishers of the group had a heron land right beside them to snack on a fish--awesome! (I am glad he didn't pop our raft.) Having the grocery store so close was great, because we always managed to forget something. My husband made the comment that if we returned he doesn't even feel the need to shop around for another place, because this one was just perfect! My only complaint is that I have to leave in 2 days. Thanks for a great home away from home.

 We had a wonderful time at your house. We were surprised to see the house so well stocked and complete. Father's favorite was the porch swing and the spa tub was helpful in soothing his back at the end of the day! My brothers enjoyed fishing off the dock (we caught quite a few catfish) and doing cannon balls off the dock into the "pre-season" lake. I enjoyed my time paddle boating and my family--and really just the opportunity to be together in such a beautiful and quiet location. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. this was the best family vacation. We are planning to book this for our family every year. No one wanted to leave. My grandchildren and my children were very sad when it was time to leave. You didn't miss anything. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Would have been nice to have a hammock. We had a wonderful week! The house is perfectly named. We enjoyed lots of relaxation. We also had lots of fun. We swam. We fished. We played badminton, ping pong, air hockey, and foosball. Thanks for the great house for our special weekend. Everything was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay.
